Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced onion, green bell pepper, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is tender.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the juices in the crockpot.
  5. Place the shredded beef mixture onto hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Optional: Place the sandwiches under a broiler for a few minutes to melt the cheese.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sliced mushrooms or jalapeños.
  • Serve with a side of chips or a salad.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
