  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese

  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add beef broth and thyme to the skillet, simmering for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  6. Stir in Gruyère and mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
