Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into turkey shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let the cookies cool completely before decorating with royal icing and sprinkles.
