Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
  6. Pour in the white wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze.
  7. Add dried thyme and return the chicken to the skillet.
  8. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a dry white wine.
  • Serve with pasta or rice to soak up the sauce.
  • Can substitute chicken breasts with thighs for a juicier option.
