Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and add the marinated chicken.
  4. Cook the chicken until browned on both sides.
  5. Add chicken broth to the pot and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions.
  8. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the pot and shred it.
  9. Serve the shredded chicken over rice and ladle the garlic ginger broth on top.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions.
