1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup crispy fried onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
Add the blanched green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 2-quart baking dish.
Top with crispy fried onions and shredded cheddar cheese if using.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
