Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  3. Pour the butter mixture into a round cake pan and arrange the apple slices on top.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat the granulated sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.

  6. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, and mix until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter over the apples in the cake pan.
